Eva Tordera Nuño artist and researcher
WHO I AM
I am a photographer and graphic designer born in Catalonia but have lived in Finland for 19 years. In 2011, I established my firm, but the business-minded life has never taken me, so after accomplishing my Master's degree, I decided to focus on artistic research.
Since 2020, I have been a doctoral student at the Department of Art and Media at Aalto University. My research focuses on chronic pain and its meaning within the contemporary context and knowledge.
My artistic research is focused on chronic pain as a phenomenon that needs to be rearticulated within the framework of artistic creation in a contemporary context and considering state-of-the-art knowledge on long-term pain.
Due to my interest in both humanities, art and technology, my artistic research combines these disciplines to develop unexpected ways to understand pain.
